Miesha Theresa Tate is an American mixed martial artist. She was born on August 18th, 1986. She is currently a participant in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and was the previous UFC Women's Bantamweight champion. Tate was previously a part of Strikeforce and was the Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tate was vice president of ONE Championship. She currently is ranked in the top 10 of UFC women's bantamweight list as of October 3 2022.



 



 Childhood and early life



 Tate was born in the Seattle suburb Tacoma, Washington, to Michelle Tate, and was raised by Michelle and husband Robert Schmidt. Tate was a boy in her youth and often was on the playground with boys.
